Reception had an absolutely fun-packed time at The Hertfordshire Zoo. From getting up close and personal with the penguins during the ‘Penguin Mini-Meet’ to eating our sandwiches on a platform, overlooking the tigers. It was a non-stop day, filled with lots of laughter and learning. The children took part in 2 learning sessions - ‘Jurassic Safari’ and ‘Fur, Feathers and Scales’, in which they learnt all about extinct and living animals, completed tasks and then went on a tour with zoo staff, taking them all around the zoo animals and dinosaur models. The children said it was “The best day ever!”
