Year 5 Trip to Hampton Court Palace

Year 5 had a fantastic trip to Hampton Court Palace, where they took part in an exciting workshop called Investigating King Henry. During the session, the children examined artefacts and historical evidence to build a picture of what Henry VIII was really like. Afterwards, everyone enjoyed a picnic lunch in the beautiful gardens surrounded by European yew trees.

The children also visited the Chapel and explored King Henry’s apartments, especially the impressive Great Hall. In the courtyard, they observed the famous Hampton Court Astronomical Clock and learned about the fascinating information it displays. It was a wonderful day of hands-on historical learning.
