Year 3 enjoyed an exciting and immersive trip to St Albans Cathedral, where they stepped back in time to explore life in the Viking era. The children took part in a hands‑on tile‑making workshop, carefully crafting their own decorative tiles inspired by historical designs.
They also learnt fascinating facts about the Vikings, discovering how they lived, travelled, and influenced British history. One of the highlights of the day was dressing up in Viking costumes, allowing the pupils to fully experience what it might have felt like to be part of a Viking community.
It was a wonderful educational visit that combined creativity, history, and plenty of fun. Well done, Year 3, for representing the school so brilliantly!
