All of the children thoroughly enjoyed this Stone Age to Iron Age experience day. The children discovered what it was like to hunt and gather, as well as the practical skills of the time, such as building shelters, and making hurdles, and fishing nets. We looked at different types of rocks and tools of the period, and how fires were lit. The children also produced some cave art using natural materials.
It was a very fun, hands-on day with lots of teamwork and problem-solving activities.
