Year 1 had an amazing day out at Mill Green Mill as part of their Great Fire of London topic. The fun-packed workshop included a visit to a working mill, making bread rolls, pretending to be archaeologists, handling artefacts from the past, writing diary entries in the style of Samuel Pepys, and constructing their own Tudor-style houses.
As if that wasn’t enough, the children also went home with some flour and a selection of goodies to remember their special day.
A huge thank you goes to our wonderful parent helpers, Mrs Modi and Ms Shah, whose support and enthusiasm made the trip run so smoothly. We couldn’t have done it without them!
