On behalf of the pupils, staff and Governors, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our website and to give some insight into life at Holland House. We are a small, independent school with huge character where every member is celebrated and known to us as an individual.
Holland House pupils are characterised by their enthusiasm, self-belief and respectfulness; our children are articulate, bright and show a keen interest in their lessons and the world around them. The wellbeing of our pupils is at the heart of everything we do; our ethos being to develop happy, confident children who value their education and take pride and responsibility for their own learning and behaviour.
Our team of dedicated teachers and supportive staff strive to develop every aspect of the child, encouraging both leadership and teamwork whilst giving all children a voice to share and articulate their views. We encourage a growth mindset across the school where children learn to embrace challenge and understand that making mistakes is all part of the learning process. We recognise that the character traits of discipline, integrity, empathy, and responsibility make the difference between lasting academic achievement and short-term performance. These are not habits and qualities children simply absorb by chance. At Holland House, we understand that they are shaped over time by consistent adult guidance, supportive peers, high expectations, and effective daily practice.
